RESOLUTION - Sheriff Kenney Boone
Whereas Sheriff Kenney Boone, a resident of Florence County and member of the Florence County Republican Party, was re-elected to the office of Sheriff in November 2008; and
Whereas since his election Sheriff Boone, his administration and his staff have developed a school resource officer program which was recognized as the model program for the nation; and
Whereas Sheriff Boone and his staff are to be commended for their efforts to reduce the trafficking of drugs through a Criminal Enforcement Unit which confiscated a record number of seizures of illegal drugs; and
Whereas the Law Enforcement Center under Sheriff Boone’s guidance became a federal detention faculty; and
Whereas Sheriff Boone has been recognized by the Morning News as the most trusted public official in Florence County for seven years in a row; and
Whereas Sheriff Boone has over the last two years assisted and supported the revitalization of the Florence County Republican Party and Florence County Republican Women’s Club; and
Whereas Sheriff Boone appropriately addresses issues facing the people of Florence County and provides amicable solutions to said issues.
Now, therefore, be it resolved the Florence County Republican Party offers its heartfelt appreciation to Sheriff Boone and his staff for their dedication to the Florence County Republican Party, the people of Florence county; and
Be it further resolved that the Florence County Republican Party honors Sheriff Kenney Boone and his staff for their service to Florence County; and
Be it further resolved that the Florence County Republican Party applauds Sheriff Kenney Boone’s and his staff’s efforts to reduce crime and drug trafficking in Florence County; and
Be it further resolved that the Florence County Republican Party hereby supports Sheriff Boone’s and his staff’s efforts to improve the school resource program; and
Be it further resolved that the Florence County Republican Party expresses its hope that Sheriff Kenney Boone will continue to serve this party and Florence County for many years to come.
